why I don’t like the word “exotic” in a compliment
- it’s a reminder that I look “different”
- just further point out my otherness why don’t ya kiddo!
- it perpetuates the idea that there is only one way to be beautiful
- sounds like you’re calling me an exotic animal or food (I am a beautiful woman thank you very much)
